Event finish precinct

The official EVA Air Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival event precinct is at Buhk Family Park, right on the beach at Alexandra Headlands. The event precinct will be your best location to store baggage, access toilets, find information about the event and visit the event expo.

Shuttle Bus

Book tickets on the Park N Ride Shuttle bus, with five locations that drop you 200metres from the event start.

Bike Parking

Make the most of race day by riding to the EVA Air Sunshine Coast Marathon and avoiding traffic and parking hassles. Pedal straight into the Race Village and take advantage of Sunshine Coast Council’s free, supervised bike and scooter parking. The team will keep an eye on your ride while you enjoy the event. Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot ahead of time by pre-registering your parking here to avoid disappointment.

Airport Transfers

Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Brisbane Airport has two major terminals accommodating 23 airlines flying to 74 domestic and international destinations including the official airline partner of the Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival, EVA Air. EVA Air operates 3 weekly flights direct between Brisbane and Tapei.

Conveniently located, the Sunshine Coast Airport is just 15 minutes’ drive from Alexandra Headlands, the Sunshine Coast Marathon hub. Sunshine Coast Airport is serviced by Jetstar, Virgin Australia, and Qantas domestically as well Air New Zealand who provide seasonal flight services from Auckland.

Centrally located, the Sunshine Coast Airport offers a range of transport options including shuttle buses, hire cars, taxis, ride share and public bus services.

Parking within the event vicinity is limited and restricted. Parking on nature strips, areas of open space and parkland is not permitted and on the spot fines may be issued per vehicle parked illegally. Please also be considerate of residents by not parking across driveways.

Coming from Brisbane?

We would suggest you avoid the Sunshine Motorway exit from the M1 and continue on to the Maroochydore Road exit. You can then travel and attempt to find parking closer to the event precinct or choose to park at the Maroochydore Football Club and catch the shuttle bus to the start line.

Rail

Train services operate from Brisbane’s Central Station to the Sunshine Coast stopping at hinterland villages and connecting bus services to coastal areas, including the popular holiday spots of Mooloolaba and Noosa. Service Information can be found here.

Coming from north of the Sunshine Coast?

Remember the southbound lanes of the Sunshine Motorway will be close from 5am- at the Bli Bli roundabout and diversions through Bli Bli will be in place. Take this into account when planning your travel to the event to ensure you arrive on time for your race start.
